Act of Building is the collective term for a teaching and research practice aimed at sustainability and resource awareness, which has found its roots in the framework of a junior professorship at the Faculty of Architecture at RWTH Aachen University.
Thematically, the focus is on researching and using local building resources and developing and expanding regenerative building materials and building processes in the context of growing resource constraints and climate change.The teaching offer includes practical workshops for bachelor and master students, a master design studio and theoretical work in collective research fields.
